That is why Yew Chung International School of Shanghai (YCIS Shanghai) works hand in hand with families to benefit the healthy growth and successful education of their children. Parents are able to participate in their children's school life by interacting with teachers on a regular basis as well as being involved in the community, charities and the school itself.

YCIS Shanghai employs full-time Parent Relations Officers who perform a liaison role between parents, the community and the school's administration. The Parent Organisation of Puxi and Pudong have been keen players in enriching the spirit of the school and parental community.

Parental education is also integral to school/parent co-operation. Through regular seminars and workshops, parents are exposed to advanced child rearing strategies and are offered professional advice on living and learning in China.
