Co-Curricular Programme

YCIS Shanghai offers a wide range of Co-curricular activities for students in Year 1 and above through our Co-Curricular (CCP) Programme. Through various, age-appropriate Co-curricular activities, YCIS students not only develop new skills and interests, but also practise social interaction and teamwork in fun ways.

CCP are offered in two sessions per year, and some of the Co-curricular activities at YCIS in recent sessions have included:

  • Choirs, orchestras, and bands
  • Drama productions and musicals
  • Sports, including basketball, softball, touch rugby, soccer, kung fu, ballet, skateboarding, volleyball, swim team, and field hockey
  • Students in Years 7 - 9 participate in China International School Sports Association (CISSA) sports league
  • Students in Years 10 and above participate in Shanghai International Schools Athletics Conference (SISAC) sports league
  • Chinese cultural crafts, Chinese dance, and traditional Chinese instruments
  • Cooking classes
  • Science, technology, and robotics lessons
  • Chess club
  • Debate club
  • Environment club
  • Model United Nations club
  • Knitting and cross stitch groups
  • Photography and art classes
  • Community service activities
