Timed to coincide Shanghai’s annual Literary Festival at M on the Bund, Book Week encouraged children to leave their game consoles behind and join their parents for a week of words and imagination.

Students from Years 1 through 12 were very much excited and nervous about having an opportunity to “chat” with their parents about what they had learned so far at school.   • Art is Food: Lessons on Organic Painting

    Taking a pause from practising good table manners, YCIS Shanghai students in IB and IGCSE Art classes were encouraged to play with their food for once. Years 11 and 12 students worked on a combined Art & Chemistry project, making their own paint using egg yolks as a binder.
