Marion, Year 9, Gubei Campus
Last month, I had the opportunity to attend the YCIS IGCSE Art Fashion Show. The show started with a presentation from the art students about how they constructed their creations and we saw some pictures of them making their designs. Then, a group of Year 10 Drama students presented a short skit before the fashions came out on the runway.
To the crowd’s delight, the first representatives started to come to the stage to present their dresses/costumes which they had made with a variety of materials, including paper, plastic bottles, canes, tissue, and more. After the first round of designs were showcased, the students came back to the runway again to show their creations. People were cheering and students were walking one at the time to feature their dresses and creations from a variety of angles. The show ended when all of the students came on stage together and modeled their creations for the last time. Overall, it was a fantastic show and a lot of fun!
