Dr Lydia Chan joined the Yew Chung Education Foundation (YCEF) in 2011. She currently supports the Director in supervising all YCIS schools. She also serves as a member of the College Governing Council, and Vice-Chair of the College Executive Board at Yew Chung Community College (YCCC). Lydia is an alumnae of YCIS-HK. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Cambridge as a Cambridge Overseas Trust Honorary Scholar, followed by her Master’s and Doctorate at the University of Oxford.
Prior to joining the Foundation three years ago as Assistant to the Director, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Oxford’s Department of Education, and co-authored the Children’s Centre Leadership and Management Rating Scale, commissioned by the U.K. National College for Leadership of Schools and Children’s Services. She has also published in the field of Emergent Literacy, and continues to be involved in academia through the University of Hong Kong and the Pacific Early Childhood Education Research Association (PECERA).
