Murphy specialises in fine art, with a focus on mixed materials in the production of his works. Many of his pieces feature drawing, oil painting, and experimental layering utilising a laser cutting machine. Additionally, Murphy has had his expertise and opinion sought and referenced by such institutions as the BBC, the National Society for Education in Art & Design, and the British Council. Murphy normally supports workshops for teachers, and so it was an incredible opportunity for the students to receive mentoring from him in the classroom for three days.
