The Puxi ECE (Ronghua) Campus serves for children aged 2 to 5. This award-winning, LEED® Gold-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) campus opened in 2018 and features an innovative, purpose-built Learning Communities design.

The Puxi ECE (Ronghua) Campus was designed by Fielding Nair International, a highly renowned architectural firm which specialises in the development of world-class learning spaces for children. Featuring a Learning Community structure, classrooms at this purpose-built facility are constructed using flexible layouts that can change according to classroom activities and needs. This supports an agile learning environment where students engage in collaborative, community, and small group settings.

In February 2018, the campus was awarded the prestigious Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). It is notable that this campus is the very first school campus in all of Shanghai to receive a LEED award. This certification requires a technically rigorous process, including the incorporation of environmentally-friendly building materials to achieve an efficient and healthy indoor environment.

The campus includes a range of features:

• Large, bright, modifiable classrooms with interactive Smartboard technology to encourage stimulating classroom interaction
• The latest technology in air purification, with monitors around the building to view the AQi index in classrooms
• Learning spaces with individually-controlled air conditioning, and floor heating on the first and second levels
• A large play area with custom-designed playground equipment imported from an overseas manufacturer to promote students’ physical development
• Dedicated music and art rooms for small and large group activities
• A computer lab with modern equipment and software
• A library with an extensive collection of English and Chinese children’s literature
  • For Primary Year 3 students and above:
    • A competition training swimming pool for swimming lessons and Co-curricular activities
  • For Secondary students:
    • A fitness centre complete with the latest fitness training equipment

Our Century Park Campus offers Upper Primary and Secondary education for children aged 9-18. Yew Chung International School of Shanghai Lingang (YCIS Shanghai Lingang) is located near the shore of the beautiful East China Sea and beside the landmark artificial freshwater Dishui Lake in Pudong New District of Shanghai. YCYW Education Network was delighted to be invited to open the first International School for expatriate children in Autumn 2022, in the Lingang New Area, which is being developed into an innovation hub for education and industry in Shanghai.

Students starting at the school can expect all the distinctive elements of a YCIS education including our unique ECE model, bilingual co-teaching approach, character education and wellness programme, violin, and service learning. • The new YCIS campus is located across the road from the Yew Wah school located in Lingang, meaning there will be opportunities for our students to make use of the exceptional facilities there, such as the theatre and sports field, and the new gymnasium and swimming pool.
