At YCIS Shanghai, we offer a wide range of activities for students from Years 1-13 through our multifaceted Co-Curricular Programme. Our students develop new skills and interests through the diverse activities and build collaboration and teamwork skills in fun and enriching ways.
Co-curricular activities are offered in several sessions per year, and some of our recent CCAs have included:
Primary students can already participate in a wide range of sports activities, including: swimming, soccer, basketball, touch rugby, kungfu, ballet, skateboarding, volleyball, and tennis. Students in Years 4-6 participate in inter-school sports competitions every year, and students in Years 6-9 can participate in inter-school league competitions in a selection of sports through the China International Schools Sports Association (CISSA). Students in Years 10-13 can compete against other international schools that are members of the Association of China and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS) and the Shanghai International Schools Activities Conference (SISAC) in three core sports: volleyball, basketball, and soccer. In addition, our students participate in many other sports within ACAMIS and SISAC, including cross country, tennis, touch rugby, table tennis, badminton, and swimming.
