    • For the fifth year, YCIS Shanghai has organised for the greater Shanghai community to participate in the worldwide Terry Fox Run.More than 300 participants of all ages showed up on October 23 to complete the five-kilometre run–some came in costumes, others on cycle, and even one on a broom! All funds were given to Ruijin Hospital to aid cancer patients and ongoing research to help cancer patients in Shanghai.

The all-inclusive, non-competitive run is named for Canadian Terry Fox, a terminally ill cancer patient who ran for 143 days to raise awareness and fundraise for cancer research.
