October 19, 2012 saw over 450 teachers from all around the Asia Pacific area meet at YCIS Shanghai Century Park Campus for a series of workshops covering secondary and primary programmes and diploma-level subjects, such as Theory of Knowledge and Mathematics.

The trainees attended the workshops as part of their professional development, and were taught by experienced IB workshop instructors. The three-day event was a huge undertaking for all involved, and was supported by YCIS Years 12 and 13 students, who helped set up the workshops and served as stewards on the opening day. This annual conference was a huge success for both the teachers, who gained some great knowledge, and for the YCIS organisers, who were delighted to host the event!
