    • As Year 13 students at YCIS Shanghai Century Park and Gubei Campuses wind down the last few weeks of their high school study, they are gearing up to attend prestigious universities around the world! This year, YCIS Shanghai students have been accepted by top international universities in US, the UK, South Korea, Canada, and Hong Kong.

Renowned universities that have accepted our graduates include Cornell University, Boston College, University of Bath, University of British Columbia, Durham University, Hong Kong University, Imperial College, McGill University, University of Notre Dame, University of Warwick, and Korea University. Additionally, YCIS Shanghai students have been admitted to top engineering programmes of Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST), and Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST), etc. For distinguished liberal arts schools, our students have successfully applied toAmherst College, Middlebury College, Vassar College, Skidmore College, Swarthmore College, and Pomona College.

Mr John Yi Liu, a University Guidance Counsellor at Gubei Campus, says, “This year’s college acceptances truly represent the diverse, international, and academic interests and abilities of our students. They submitted dynamic applications that reflected their well-rounded education. As a result, the graduands were accepted into a wide-range of top universities, from Ivy League schools, such as Cornell, top engineering programmes like KAIST, leading fashion and design schools including Parsons The New School for Design, and competitive music programmes like Berklee College of Music. We are proud of the tremendous achievements of our students, and are impressed by the drive and determination they have shown daily at YCIS.”

Ms Kelly Flanagan, the University Guidance Counsellor at Century Park Campus, adds, “Several students received extremely substantial scholarships, including a full scholarship to Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and a USD 36,000 scholarship to Pomona College, solely based on merit. This reflects how well-rounded our students are, in addition to their strong academic scores."

In June, YCIS Year 13 students will graduate with International Baccalaureate (IB) diplomas. The IB programme is a holistic mix of liberal arts and science, designed for highly motivated students. At YCIS, all Year 12 and Year 13 students participate in the IB programme.
