YCIS Student Photo Contest Celebrates Global Geography

    • From Turkey to Cambodia, and New York to Rome, YCIS students travelled to practically every corner of the globe during their summer holiday. With international students from more than 50 countries, some travelled to visit family and friends in their respective home countries, while others took the opportunity to visit new places in far-flung locations – and nothing quite tells a story like a photo!

To share their summer adventures with their peers, the Secondary Humanities Department at Century Park Campus kicked off the school year with a fun photo contest to celebrate the students’ global whereabouts. To participate, students submitted photos from their summer holiday with a “geography” theme. Winners were chosen from each of the Lower Secondary Years (Years 7-9), IGCSE, and IB programmes. Each photo has its own story to tell, and it was clear that YCIS students were exploring the world and embracing cultural experiences, no matter where in the world they were.
