    • Art and fashion design recently came together at YCIS Shanghai Gubei Campus for the annual IGCSE Fashion Show, featuring a wide range of creative couture.

The annual, buzz-worthy evening showcased artistic fashion designs created by the school’s talented Year 10 IGCSE Art students. Their colourful and intricate pieces were based on their research of various artists, and presented in their own original way as wearable art. Throughout their first semester, each student conducted thorough researched and created sketches of clothing representative of their study. The students then took their immensely creative illustrations and created wearable, life size versions that incorporated some element of recyclable material.

Before the IGCSE students presented their fashion on stage, a Year 10 Drama class kicked off the evening with an original still-motion performance. Once the students’ designs hit the runway, attendees’ jaws dropped at the sight of the stunning and innovative works of art. The stylish event truly earned the applause and praise of students, faculty, and parents in attendance.
