On the morning of September 9—the day before the 2021 Teachers' Day celebration—Mr Guo Kai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Head of the Hongqiao Community Office in Changning District, led a visit to YCIS Shanghai, Puxi Early Childhood Education (ECE) (Ronghua) Campus, and sent his congratulations and greetings to the educators at the school.

Mr Guo conversed cordially on various topics with school representatives, including Ms Julie Zheng, YCYW Regional Education Director; Ms Linda Li, YCIS Shanghai, Puxi Chinese Co-Principal; Ms Grace Gu, YCIS Shanghai, Puxi School Business Manager; Ms Gladys Au, YCIS Hong Kong ECE Chinese Co-Principal; Ms Bernadette Silcock, YCIS Shanghai, Puxi ECE Vice Principal; and Ms Daisy Xu, YCIS Shanghai, Puxi ECE Curriculum Coordinator. Furthermore, Mr Guo also introduced and shared details of the Kunqu Opera ‘Aesthetic Education’ programme to all the leaders from YCIS.

Mr Guo pointed out that YCIS Shanghai has been a quality education brand for and made significant contributions to the international development of the Hongqiao Community. He expects the school to uphold its advanced philosophy, continue acting as an educational role model, provide advanced experience in education, teaching, and management, and further raise the international education level. In the future, the Hongqiao Community will continue to have long-term exchanges with YCIS Shanghai, striving for mutual learning, promotion, and development.
