    10 : 00

    • YCIS Shanghai’s inaugural gala will be held on 20 November at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Pudong. Jointly organised by YCIS Shanghai’s Puxi and Pudong campuses, the gala aims to raise funds to support the YCIS Shanghai Scholarship Programme, an initiative that will benefit our students, as well as a student-led service-learning programme ‘Hope Beans’.

Student achievement is a concerted effort by the entire school community. Thus in a bid to maximise and expand the available resources supporting the growth of the school community, we have partnered with the Shanghai Education Development Foundation to set up the YCIS Special Fund to manage all ticket sales and donations from this gala, which will go towards helping YCIS students thrive, and celebrate those who have made remarkable achievements.

We are very grateful to you all for your generous support and we look forward to welcoming you to the gala.

Community engagement is an important part of this mix.

      Hope Beans

Hope Beans is a student-led ‘social enterprise’ coffee bean project, that partners with an ethical supplier of organic coffee beans from Yunnan Province. 30% of the proceeds from every bag of coffee sold will be used to support local low-income AIDS family care programmes. The initiative provides students with an invaluable opportunity to make a positive impact on the society and it is also a reflection on our commitment to nurturing compassionate leaders.
