    Changning District Administration Visits YCIS

    • On 10 April, Mr Wang Luoqing, Member of the Standing Committee of Changning District Committee and President of Changning Overseas Friendship Association visited the ECE and Primary campuses of the Yew Chung International School of Shanghai (YCIS Shanghai) in Puxi. Accompanied by Ms Jiang Liping, Director of Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Changning District and Vice President of Changning Overseas Friendship Association, the delegation learned about the school’s teaching and development plans.

       

      Also present were Dr Esther Chan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (K-12 Education) of Yew Chung Yew Wah (YCYW) Education Network , Ms Lu Ning, Public Affairs Liaison Director of YCYW Education Network, Mr Zhang Duan, General Manager of YCIS Shanghai, Ms Rita Chen, Chief School Operations Officer of YCYW, and the YCIS Shanghai Puxi Leadership Team.

       

      During the visit, Mr Wang Luoqing toured the school's gymnasium, music facilities, Bilingual Learning Community, classrooms, and the YCYW Milestone Wall. He gained a detailed understanding of the school's values and characteristics, educational philosophy and development plans. Mr Wang spoke highly of the school's advanced and sophisticated teaching facilities, as well as its open and flexible learning space. He also fully affirmed YCIS Shanghai's positive contribution to Changning's education and economic development.

       

      The district leaders expressed hope that the school will continue to improve the level of international schooling, strive to create a world-class K15 (ECE, primary and secondary) school system, promote Chinese culture, encourage exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and international civilizations, and contribute new forces to Changning's construction of "four forces and four cities". This will accelerate the construction of the international boutique urban area with world influence.

       

      The visit of district leaders to our school is a recognition and encouragement for the work of our school. In the future, YCIS Shanghai will continue to innovate to provide a high quality international education. YCIS Shanghai will also reach out to strengthen its collaboration with communities, schools and businesses in the region, joining hands to empower more students.
