Last semester, our sports teams at Century Park Campus had amazing results! We came home with seven titles, two from ACAMIS Volleyball and five from SISAC Tennis. Joining sports teams at YCIS is really unique. We have students who are both very talented and very hard-working. Joining sports teams at YCIS gives students the opportunity to interact deeply and to get to know people from different year levels. Coaches at YCIS have the opportunity to work individually with all team members, find their strengths and weaknesses, and help them improve – a very important factor for a winning team.

For over three years, I’ve been playing sports, like Volleyball, with my classmates and I’ve gotten to know how they play, their ways of thinking, and their tricks. I trust their game, and we have great communication. Every sports team at YCIS is a family and every season we welcome new members with open arms. For all team sports it is very important to know and trust your teammates, and that environment is something that YCIS offers. Playing with the same people over many years is a huge advantage over other teams that don’t know their teammates very well. YCIS students know all of their teammates; they know that if they make a wrong move, someone else will be there to save it. I have experienced matches where other teams don’t even know the names of their teammates and I personally find they are at a disadvantage. Sports are not only about talent and winning strategies; they are also about friendship, sportsmanship, and trust. All teams at YCIS offer these things.
