YCIS Century Park Campus, a relatively small community of students from Year 6 to Year 13, is different from other schools because it fosters a very international culture and experience.

In school, we have a tight-knit community that allows students to feel a sense of connection and acceptance. Every year, the YCIS community welcomes new students from different countries and we thrive in cultural diversity. Small class sizes mean that every single student is included in conversations and teachers are always available to help provide individualised support. Apart from academics, the close community at YCIS also helps students develop and strengthen friendships. We are able to make friends with students above and below our year levels.

YCIS also gives us the opportunity to experience a bilingual community. While most classes in our high school are taught in English (compared to Primary and Kindergarten which have a bilingual learning environment), students get to enjoy the Chinese language and Chinese culture lessons as well. Students are exposed to a fusion of Western and Eastern cultures. Personally, YCIS has developed my Chinese abilities to the extent where I can speak and write confidently.

YCIS has truly provided me with the best of both worlds, shaping me into the person I am today. I am happy to call YCIS my second home.
