As the international population in Shanghai has grown over the years, so have our campuses. We now have multiple campuses on both sides of the Huangpu River in order to provide a world-class educational experience for children aged 2-18 all across the city.
YCIS Campuses in Puxi
Our Puxi Primary (Hongqiao) Campus is centrally-located and offers a bilingual environment with Co-Teachers in every classroom for Primary children aged 6 to 10. This modern campus features fantastic facilities for children's development in academics, art, music, sports, technology, and more.
Puxi Primary (Hongqiao) Campus was established in 1993 as the first YCIS campus in Shanghai. Parents and students alike characterise the campus as “a happy place to be”. The modern facilities provide students with an ideal learning environment, and this is reflected not only in their results but also in their smiling faces.
Caring and attentive Co-Teachers support the children’s learning and their development of important values and a global mindset.
Located in the western part of the city, the campus is conveniently situated near housing compounds, shopping centres, and restaurants that are popular with the international community. Given this prime location and ease of accessibility, parents are actively engaged in on-campus activities.
The campus facilities include:
- Large, bright classrooms with interactive Smartboard technology to encourage stimulating classroom interaction.
- Air filtration units in the classrooms, and central air purification in communal areas to provide students with a safe and healthy learning environment.
- A large sports field and play areas where children can exercise, run, and play.

- Library which houses a large collection of English and Chinese literature.
- Music and multi-purpose rooms, where children gain a firm foundation in music and the performing arts.
- Spacious, well-equipped art room and kiln room for creative and innovative learning projects.
- Competitive gymnasium and dance room for Physical Education classes and Co-Curricular Activities.
- Students in Years 3–6 use the competition training swimming pool at the Puxi ECE (Ronghua) Campus for swimming lessons and Co-Curricular Activities.

YCIS Campuses in Pudong
Our Kindergarten and Primary school in Pudong, Regency Park Campus, offers international education for children aged 2 to 8 and is conveniently located within walking distance of several popular housing compounds and Kerry Parkside and many co-curricular activities on weekdays and weekends, this campus is always buzzing with activity.
Regency Park Campus opened in 2005 and is conveniently located within walking distance of several popular housing compounds, and Kerry Parkside, one of the city’s most well-known shopping and community areas. It is also a 10-minute drive from other preferred housing areas in Pudong, making it a very conveniently located campus for families living in Pudong.
The campus caters for students from Kindergarten to Lower Primary and is specifically designed to meet the needs of these children. This campus features:
- Large, bright classrooms with interactive Smartboard technology to encourage stimulating classroom interaction.
- Air filtration units in the classrooms to provide students with a safe and healthy learning environment.
- A large gymnasium, sports field, basketball court, and several interactive play structures and spaces where children can exercise, run, and play.
- Dedicated computer labs equipped with the latest hardware and software.
- Libraries which house a large collection of English and Chinese literature.
- Music and multi-purpose rooms, which provide students with a firm foundation in music, and allow them to learn to express themselves through the performing arts and special assemblies.
- A colourful art room, nurturing their creativity.

YCIS Campuses in Lingang
Yew Chung International School of Shanghai Lingang (YCIS Shanghai Lingang) is located near the shore of the beautiful East China Sea and beside the landmark artificial freshwater Dishui Lake in Pudong New District of Shanghai. YCYW Education Network was delighted to be invited to open the first International School for expatriate children in Autumn 2022, in the Lingang New Area, which is being developed into an innovation hub for education and industry in Shanghai.
YCIS Shanghai Lingang, as with all other YCIS schools, is committed to raising globally competent and compassionate leaders with a servant’s heart, who aspire to, and act for, a better world. We believe that the core purpose of education is character formation, and to equip our graduates with a deep respect for and understanding of world cultures, mastery of Chinese and English, as well as a strong commitment to meeting challenges of their generation. The new YCIS campus is located across the road from the Yew Wah school located in Lingang, meaning there will be opportunities for our students to make use of the exceptional facilities there, such as the theatre and sports field, and the new gymnasium and swimming pool.
