    • On Friday, September 21, 2012, YCIS Shanghai celebrated Founder's Day, which was established in remembrance of Yew Chung’s founder, Madam Tsang Chor-hang. The event also helped to launch the celebration of Yew Chung’s 80th anniversary, and was enjoyed by nearly 6,o00 students, 1,500 staff members, and YCIS alumni at all YCIS campuses across Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Chongqing, Qingdao, Yantai and Shenzhen, along with Silicon Valley in the US, to honour the milestone, and to highlight the school's spirit of success, achievement, and integration.

For YCIS Shanghai, this meant a wide variety of fun and exciting activities on all four campuses. The event began with a welcoming speech and prayer by Yew Chung Director Dr Betty Chan, broadcast live from Hong Kong. Following Dr Chan’s broadcast, the students, faculty, staff, and alumni enjoyed a celebratory luncheon and played team-building games and enjoyed recreational activities. There was a great mixture of leisure activities ranging from arts projects to friendly sports matches, some of which featured student versus teacher matches.

A wonderful way to begin this important year for YCIS!
