Students from YCIS Shanghai Gubei Campus laced up their sports shoes and took to the courts for a “pick-up” tennis match against their favourite YCIS teachers!What began as a celebration of the arrival of Spring–the idea of Mr Andrew McNeice, a teacher in the History Department, EOTC Co-ordinator, and Year 7 leader–has turned into a series of tournaments, with the group meeting regularly to play.  Students played single matches against one another and against the teachers, and the friendly competition also included a new kind of mixed doubles: teachers versus students, and student-teacher teams versus other student-teacher teams.

The students put forth a good show of athleticism and, more importantly, fostered a very supportive environment for their fellow competitors.
