    • The month of September saw the celebration of a long-standing tradition at YCIS Shanghai Gubei Campus: the annual Back-to-School Carnival, and this year’s event exceeded expectations! Blessed with perfect weather and a record attendance, the event provided attendees with the opportunity to participate in a host of fun activities, from skateboarding and golfing demonstration lessons, to mechanical bull and surfboard riding, and the pinnacle of fun for all children: an actual, full-sized Carousel on campus!

Organised by the Parent Organisation Puxi (POP), this event brings YCIS students, families, teachers, and staff together to celebrate the unique, internationalism of the YCIS community. Ms Luciene Hang, a Parent Relations Officer at YCIS Shanghai, recapped the success of the event, noting, “We were very fortunate, as everything was perfect on the day. Our wonderful, creative parents joined together to create some amazingly fun activities that ran throughout the day, and we had performances by the POP Choir and student musicians, and a huge variety of delicious food. People are now asking the date for next year’s event already!”

To follow on this fun, Pudong campuses are now busily preparing for their annual POP Picnic in October, which is sure to continue to build on the fun, energy, and community-bonding that took place at the Welcome BBQ earlier this year.
