    • The graduating classes of 2014 at Gubei and Century Park campuses have more than summer and their college departures to celebrate: their recently released IB scores highlight their incredible achievements and academic diligence, as well!

At YCIS Shanghai, all Year 12 and 13 students participate in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), a comprehensive and rigorous, two-year curriculum that gives diploma holders access to top colleges around the world. This year, the average combined IB score of the Year 13 students at both the Gubei and Century Park campuses was a remarkable 35.2 points, out of a possible 45. When compared to their worldwide peers, they well exceeded the 2013 average worldwide score of 29.8, truly demonstrating the students’ tremendous academic achievement. In addition to the high scores, over two thirds of YCIS Shanghai students (67%) received a bilingual diploma, demonstrating the impact of the school’s robust Chinese language programme. Well-equipped with their IB diplomas and a unique set of holistic and multicultural skills developed at YCIS, this fall, these new alumni will attend top universities around the world to pursue various passions and studies, including film scoring, engineering, design, technology, computer science, music, and liberal arts. University acceptances included Amherst College, Cornell University, University of Bath, Berklee College of Music, Boston College, University of British Columbia, Durham University, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong University, Imperial College London, Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST), Korea University, McGill University, University of Notre Dame, Parsons The New School for Design, Pomona College, Rhode Island School of Design, Vassar College, University of Warwick, and more!
