    • It was an emotional graduation celebration for the 74 graduates from YCIS Shanghai Gubei Campus as they recognised their journey, along with their fellow classmates, teachers, and of course, their supportive and proud families.

Several speeches were given during the evening ceremony, including the selected student speaker, Oscar Chen, who reminisced about his 13 years at YCIS Shanghai and thanked his classmates for their support over the years. Following the student’s speech, Mr Felix Sibarani, Creativity, Action and Service Co-ordinator addressed the graduates and attendees. Sibarani, who was chosen by the graduates to address their class, provided a series of inspirational anecdotes and encouraged the students to always help others in need. Graduation speeches finalised with encouraging words from the Co-Principals, Dr Richard Swann and Ms Isabel Xu.

During the ceremony, a number of students received awards for their achievements in a multitude of areas, including music, art, charity, sports, and academic excellence, truly reflecting the diverse range of skills students develop at YCIS in the various academic and co-curricular offerings. The final accolade, the Valedictorian award, was given to Rochester Yu for both his academic and co-curricular achievements across a wide range of activities.

This fall, the graduates will attend top universities around the world focusing on a broad range of studies, from art and music to engineering, law, and more. YCIS Shanghai congratulates all graduates from the Class of 2015 and wishes them the best of luck as they begin their collegiate journeys!
