The 2026 IB Diploma results were released today, with YCIS Shanghai graduates once again demonstrating exceptional academic excellence. One student achieved a perfect full score of 45 points, with several others scoring 44 and 43 points, placing our students firmly among the world’s top IB learners.

This cohort has delivered outstanding overall results, with an average IB score of 36.1; well above the world average of 30.88. A remarkable 31% of graduates achieved 40 points or above — strong evidence of YCIS Shanghai’s consistent, high-quality academic rigour.

Equally commendable is the proven impact of our long-term educational approach. Almost two thirds of our high achievers scoring 40+ joined YCIS Shanghai from Kindergarten or Primary level. Supported by our continuous K-12 holistic education, they have grown from young children into confident, well-rounded individuals with solid academic foundations, critical thinking skills and global perspectives — a true testament to our commitment to long-term, transformative education.
