    The Results Are In - Yet another Year of Excellent IB Scores for YCIS

    • After two years of hard work and exemplary efforts from YCIS Shanghai’s Class of 2016, the newest alumni have proven their amazing success in the IB programme with remarkable exam results. 


      Below is a highlight of the students’ incredible scores:

      • The average combined IB score of the YCIS Shanghai Class of 2016 was an astonishing 35, five points higher than the worldwide average of 30.
      • The overall percentage of diploma students who achieved a score of 40 or higher was 15%, more than double the global average of 7%.
      • 43% of YCIS Shanghai students pursued and achieved a bilingual diploma, demonstrating the impact of the school’s robust Chinese language programme.

      In addition to these tremendous examination results, YCIS’s Class of 2016 will be matriculating at top universities around the world this autumn, including Stanford University, Yale-NUS, King’s College London, Imperial College London, University of Michigan, University of Chicago, Hong Kong University, and more. The students will be pursuing a diversified range of studies and majors, including political science, chemical engineering, molecular biology, film and television, hospitality, business, economics, art, design, architecture, and journalism, a testament to the holistic education YCIS provides.
