On Tuesday, November 28, students in the YCIS Shanghai Gubei Campus Upper Secondary String Ensemble and Select Choir put on a spectacular performance at the Bund Financial Center Christmas Tree Lighting.

The group were the only international school students selected to appear at this prestigious inaugural tree lighting at the brand new development situated on the Bund, the celebrated waterfront on the Puxi side of Shanghai.

After delighting the crowd with their festive musical selections, the YCIS students were then treated to a private visit to the Fosun Art Foundation Gallery, which has what is arguably one of the best views of the Bund, and they then had a front-row view of the acrobatic talents of some of the main performers from the Cirque du Soleil show, Kooza.

They capped off their night with exclusive photos with the Kooza performers and with everyone’s favourite – Santa Claus, who was present at the event to help switch on the majestic tree’s lights.
