On Sunday, November 19, YCIS Shanghai once again hosted the Shanghai Mamas for their 11th Family Day event – one of the largest and most popular family days in Shanghai. The free event took place on a sunshine filled-day at the school’s Hongqiao Campus and was attended by over 1500 parents and children.

On offer for families were creative and exciting games and activities for both children and parents, live music and performances throughout the day, a wide variety of food from community vendors, an incredible selection of raffle prizes, and a chance to bid on a Princess Cruise package to Japan, valued at 16,000 RMB.

Importantly, those attending the event supported the Shanghai Mamas organisation. Shanghai Mamas is a volunteer-led online community group which offers support and resources to international families living in Shanghai. It is because of continued support and ongoing generosity that the group are also able to continue providing what has become an invaluable resource over the past 11 years.

The venue and event were sponsored by YCIS Shanghai, as well as other vendors. The school has supported the Shanghai Mamas for a number of years and continues to offer the use of the Hongqiao Campus, which is a perfect location for this celebrated event with its playground, soft playroom, and indoor and outdoor spaces.
