    • On the afternoon of April 15, Ms Wang Lan, Party Secretary of Changning District, led a delegation to Hongqiao Linkong Digital Economy Industrial Park, as well as YCIS Shanghai, Puxi. During the visit, Secretary Wang said that Changning should take advantage of the great strategic opportunity that comes with the construction of the Hongqiao International Hub for Opening Up. This involves solidifying and acting upon the concepts of the plan, taking full advantage of the location of the Greater Hongqiao area, improving economic capability, attracting more high-quality multinational corporations to base their headquarters in the area, building more influential and impactful international schools, and actively promoting Changning's high-quality development during the implementation period of the "14th Five-Year Plan".

Secretary Wang and her party visited YCIS Shanghai, Puxi Secondary (Gubei) Campus to inspect the school's operations and meet with school representatives. Together, they had a cordial conversation with Mr Frank Zhang, General Manager of Yew Wah Education Foundation Shanghai Management Company; Ms Julie Zheng, Regional Education Director; Mr Allan Li, Head of Engineering Department; Mr Ryan Peet, Western Co-Principal of YCIS Shanghai, Puxi Campuses; Ms Linda Li, Chinese Co-Principal of YCIS Shanghai, Puxi Campuses; Ms Grace Gu, School Business Manager of YCIS Shanghai, Puxi; and Ms Lauren Rogers, Secondary Vice Principal of YCIS Shanghai, Puxi.

Secretary Wang sincerely thanked YCIS Shanghai for its contribution to Changning’s economy, society, culture, education, and more. She hopes the school can uphold its advanced educational philosophy, while seizing the great opportunities brought by the construction of the Hongqiao International Hub for Opening Up. This includes further optimised campus planning and continuing to be a role model and industry leader; to provide advanced experience in education, teaching, and management; and to continue raising the level of international education. Secretary Wang hopes that YCIS Shanghai can play a role in the rapid development of Changning as an influential, international, and world-leading city district.
