    • At YCIS, learning extends far beyond the classroom to a rich and vibrant co-curricular landscape. With over 200 Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) available, students begin their journey of exploration and growth from as early as K3 (three years old)

These activities span four broad areas aligned with our school’s mission – Science & Technology, Sports & Athletics, Love & Charity, and Culture & Arts – offering students a wide range of opportunities to explore their interests and talents. Among them, 25 CCAs are entirely student-led, demonstrating remarkable initiative and leadership.

Through participation, students not only collaborate with peers across different classes and year groups, forming new friendships, but also develop responsibility and creativity through practical engagement, gradually achieving balanced and holistic growth.

      Science & Technology

In the Science & Technology stream, students can choose from a diverse array of activities to pursue their interests. These include VEX Robotics, Coding, Mathematics Club, Math Word-problem Workshop, the Medical Society, AI Game Development, and AI Website Development.

Notably, the Medical Society was founded and is run by students, with a history spanning several years. It provides a safe environment for medical enthusiasts to learn both theory and practice, building a solid foundation in medicine. These opportunities stimulate curiosity and innovative thinking while nurturing practical skills and teamwork.

      Sports & Athletics

The Sports & Athletics stream offers an equally wide range of options: football, basketball, badminton, volleyball, swimming, table tennis, dance, rugby, cricket, fencing, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, golf, triathlon, hockey, and Pickleball

From popular team sports to more challenging individual pursuits, these activities provide students with opportunities to strengthen their physical fitness, develop resilience, and cultivate teamwork

      Love & Charity

In the Love & Charity stream, students engage in activities across diverse areas.

Some focus on sustainability, such as Green Thumb and the Digital Bridge Initiative; others centre on social care, including teaching at migrant children's schools, Dementia Friends, Autism Friends, and Li Li Sign Language; while some foster self-development and personal expression, such as the Book Club, Spanish, Painting, Fashion Design, Crochet Club, Student Council, and Hope Beans.

      Culture & Arts

The Culture & Arts stream also offers a wealth of opportunities. Clubs such as Anime, Illustration, Calligraphy, Cantonese, and Chinese Writing Competitions allow students to explore and express themselves through diverse languages and cultures.

Symphony Orchestra, Choir, Musical Theatre, and The Actors Circle provide platforms for artistic creation and performance.

Photography, Cooking, Crafts, and Leatherwork foster creativity and aesthetic skills through hands-on practice, while Debate, Model United Nations, Peer Tutoring, Media Club, World Scholar's Cup, Law Society, and Dungeons & Dragons develop logical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.

These varied options enable students not only to showcase their talents but also to build cultural confidence and critical thinking. Collectively, they reflect the school's commitment to creativity, artistic expression, and the celebration of diverse cultures.

With over 200 CCAs, students grow not only in their interests and talents but also develop leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility through exploration and practical engagement.

These diverse experiences underscore the school's pursuit of academic excellence while fostering holistic development, laying a strong foundation for both future academic achievements and personal growth.
