YCIS Shanghai Century Park Year 12 cohort students have returned from the annual IB trip to Thailand with exciting adventure stories and some very meaningful community service under their belts.

While in Thailand, they worked on several items for their IB course, including a project for the Sciences, a fieldwork project for Geography, in addition to several Creativity-Action-Service (CAS) activities. The hands-on CAS activities included a community service project, visiting an elephant refuge park, learning how to do jungle cooking, and kayaking to a floating bamboo guesthouse on a lake. The students worked diligently on these numerous activities, and returned to Shanghai with warm memories of time with friends, an expanded world-view, and reflections about how they developed as individuals over the course of the trip!
