    • As the academic year draws to a close, our Year 13 students at Century Park and Gubei Campuses are preparing to graduate from the Secondary and start their next adventure – university. After almost a year of researching universities, having countless meetings with their guidance counsellors, and writing many university essays, while also balancing the academic demands of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme and Co-curricular activities, our students have now been reaping the rewards of their hard work. Similar to past years, students from YCIS Shanghai’s Class of 2015 have been accepted to a great number of top universities all around the world.

      More impressive is how the YCIS Shanghai students' university acceptances continue to be a reflection of YCIS’s globally-minded and holistic educational mission: to educate students to be aligned “with Culture and Arts, Science and Technology, and Love and Charity”.

      This year’s graduands have been accepted to top universities worldwide for:

      The Sciences and Engineering: Imperial College London (UK), University of Bath (UK), Case Western Reserve University (US), University of California-Los Angeles (US), University of Toronto (CA), University of Wisconsin-Madison (US), Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HK), University of California-Irvine (US), and Korean Advanced Institute of Technology (South Korea);

      Humanities: King’s College London (UK), The London School of Economics (UK), Tufts University (US), New York University (US), McGill University (CA), Durham University (UK), Faculty of Law at University of Hong Kong (HK), and Seoul National University (South Korea);

      Performing Arts: Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (US), Dodge School of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University (US), Eastman School of Music at University of Rochester (US), and Royal Northern College of Music (UK);

      Visual Arts: Parsons The New School for Design (US), Pratt Institute (US), Savannah College of Art and Design (US), University of the Arts London (UK), and Bournemouth and Poole College (UK).

      Furthermore, our graduands have also been financially rewarded for their hard work – amassing a total of more than US$400,000 in scholarships!

      Mr John Yi Liu, University Guidance Officer at Gubei Campus, says “Our Class of 2015 is an incredible group of students. We know that in their future adventures they will carry the YCIS spirit with them, and that they will continue to be a source of academic and charitable inspiration at the universities they will be attending in the fall.”
