Congratulations to our current Year 12 students on the results of the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations they sat in May and June of this year. The results were just announced, and our students have once again achieved extraordinary marks!

The students from both our Gubei and Century Park campuses received 31 Distinction awards and 29 Merit awards, and an incredible 48% earned A* - A marks.

In addition, three YCIS students have been honoured with Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards:

Hannah, at Century Park Campus, earned a Top in the World Award for IGCSE Mandarin. Hannah scored 100% in the exam, which is a remarkable achievement, and one which means that for two years in a row that Century Park Campus’ Chinese department has produced the top student in the world.

Oliver, at Century Park Campus, was awarded Top in China for IGCSE World Literature which means that the English department has now produced the top student in China for that subject for four years in a row.

So Yun, at Gubei Campus, was awarded Top in China for Design and Technology. Gubei Campus now has produced Top in China/Top in World winners for Design and Technology for five out of the last six years.

These three students will receive awards at a special Cambridge Learner Awards ceremony that will take place this month. This year, the regional event will be hosted by Century Park Campus as they celebrate their tenth year as a recognized Cambridge school.

All of our students’ achievements on the IGCSE examinations are evidence of the effectiveness of YCIS’s global education approach. Congratulations go to all Year 12 students and the school for their excellent achievements. We wish them all the very best in their study for the IB Diploma Programme.
